Hi there! Are you a journalist or academic? Are you planning to write about me in a news article or journal article? Would you like to not be seriously, embarrassingly wrong? Well good news, I'm usually happy to chat. Both you and I benefit from you getting things right the first time around.
To correct a few misconceptions:
- I am not pseudonymous. My name is Tamzin Hadasa Kelly. I'm 28. I live in Cape May County, New Jersey, with my polycule. I'm the Tamzin in this article and this podcast episode, and for that matter also the Tamzin in this article and this article and the Tom in this article and this article. And also the Tamzin in the acknowledgments to Toki Pona Dictionary.
- I am not difficult to reach. You can email me at wikimedian
tamz.in. To ensure a prompt response, leave a message on my Wikipedia talkpage saying to check my email. I am happy to talk by phone or video with journalists and academics from respectable institutions.
- I am not someone who you need to worry about misgendering. See User:Tamzin/🤷.
That's who I'm not. Take a second to check out my userpage below and learn a bit about who I am. Then drop me a line.
Because love's such an old-fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves— Queen and David Bowie, "Under Pressure"

i used to be a very active administrator here. eventually i got disillusioned by the way we treat one another in the shitty backrooms where meta-level decisions are made. (that's a "we", not a "they"; i was absolutely part of the problem.) i'm still around to work on writing articles—which is, you know, what wikipedia is actually for—as well as a limited amount of non-user-conduct-related "projectspace" work. please take no offense if i do not respond to messages or pings in other contexts.
if you find yourself spending more time talking about the people who write wikipedia than being one of those people, remember that you can fix that today:
may your memory forever be for a blessing, O Comrade Vami_IV (1999–2024). you gave this community so much and you deserved so much better than what it gave you—and you still kept giving, nevertheless.
