The English singer Nao has recorded songs for two extended plays (EPs) and a forthcoming studio album, in addition to collaborations included in other releases. Following her enrollment at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she became a professional singer. After being suggested to start recording solo music, the artist co-wrote her debut single "So Good", a collaboration with A.K. Paul, which was released in June 2014.[1] This was followed by an accompanying EP of the same name, recorded with artists including William Serrell, Loxe and John Calvert.[2][3]
Musicians such as George Reid of AlunaGeorge and Kwes contributed to the songwriting of Nao's second EP, February 15 (2015), an effort based on R&B and garage funk.[4] Its lead single, "Inhale Exhale", was developed by Nao and GRADES.[5] 2015 saw Nao guest on songs "Superego" and "Firefly", respectively by Disclosure and Mura Masa, which she co-wrote with their main artists.[6] She reunited with GRADES for the conception of "Bad Blood", an R6B the first single from her forthcoming debut studio album.and "Fool to Love"
