Miriam (Hebrew: מִרְיָם, Modern: Miryam, Tiberian: Miryām, see Miriam (given name)), according to the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament, was the elder sister of Moses by six years and Aaron by three years[1][2], and the only daughter of Amram and Jochebed. She was a prophet and first appears in the Book of Exodus.
