Monterrey La Raza (Spanish: La Raza de Monterrey) are a Mexican indoor soccer team based in Monterrey, Nuevo León. They are the second franchise to use this name. The original La Raza were founded in 1992 and initially played in the Continental Indoor Soccer League. They later played in the World Indoor Soccer League before folding in 1999. In the 2007 the name was revived and a second team was entered in the Major Indoor Soccer League. They currently play in the National Indoor Soccer League. As well as using the same name as the original La Raza, the current team uses similar logos and colourings. Erich Geyer has also coached both teams [1] [2][3]
