Print by Rembrandt / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hundred Guilder Print is an etching created by Rembrandt. The etching's story derives from the one of the four stories told in chapter nineteen of the Gospel of Saint Matthew. Many consider this print the apotheosis of Rembrandt's activity in etching. It is also called Christ healing the sick,[1] Christ with the Sick around Him, Receiving Little Children,[2] or Christ preaching.[3] The contents of the Hundred Guilder print had influences on other artists and their work, spawning imitations and influencing other works, such as the Baillie print.
