Tuzhinsky District

Tuzhinsky District (Russian: Тужи́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,468 square kilometers (567 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Tuzha.[1] Population: 7,688 (2010 Census);[3] 10,396 (2002 Census);[7] 12,334 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Tuzha accounts for 59.4% of the district's total population.[3]
