This is almost certainly backwards copying. Besides the fact that it is dated from December 2010 at the external site, we can see the introduction of some of the key text here: . Note that the sentence immediately prior to it is also present in the external site. We can see that it evolved earlier. Note here where the previously existing content "By this definition of a university, the first university in medieval Europe, and thus the world, was the University of Bologna (established in 1088)" was altered to read "The first university in medieval Europe, and the world, was the University of Bologna (established in 1088)."
