It is unlikely that Shailvahana is of Andhra origin. Shalivahana was Satavahana king with official Prakrit language. Satavahana capital was at Junnar near Pune in Maharashtra.
Present day "Andhra" state got it's name from these kings (region where Satavahana rule).

The above assertions have no basis in history or in science. The current article on Ugadi has no reference to any Telugu historians or experts in Telugu festivals. Salivahana era is used by Telugus.
