Swedish linguistics professor (1928–2022) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sture Allén (31 December 1928 – 20 June 2022)[1][2] was a Swedish professor of computational linguistics at the University of Gothenburg, who was the permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy between 1986 and 1999. Born in Gothenburg, he was elected to chair 3 of the Swedish Academy in 1980.[3] He was also a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters[4] and the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters.[5]
