Sturm der Liebe (pronounced [ˌʃtʊɐ̯m deːɐ̯ ˈliːbə], lit. "Storm of Love") is a German television soap opera created by Bea Schmidt for Das Erste. It premiered on 26 September 2005. It airs 50-minute episodes on weekdays (Monday through Friday) at 15:10. It was announced in May 2024 that Sturm der Liebe has been renewed until 2027 and that its runtime will be shortened to 25 minutes starting in 2025.[2] In July 2024, it was announced the programme's running time would remain 50 minutes.[3] The programme is on hiatus from 17 May 2024 until 19 August 2024.
