Sternschanze (German pronunciationⓘ) (lit. Star Sconce) is a quarter in the center of Hamburg (Germany) within the Altona borough. In 2014, the population was 7,776 on an area of 0.6 km2 with a density of 14,113 inhabitants per km2.[2] After Reeperbahn, it is Hamburg's best known entertainment and nightlife district.
