Slovenian Silver Hen[1] (Slovene: Slovenska srebrna kokoš[2]) is a traditional breed of domestic chicken, originating in Slovenia.[2] The breed, that was developed some centuries ago on the Biotechnical Faculty of University of Ljubljana,[3] is characterised by typical white coloured layer hens,[2][3] used primarily for production of commercial crossbreeds sold under the trademark Prelux.[2][4]
