Shimanovsky District

Shimanovsky District (Russian: Шимано́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 14,554 square kilometers (5,619 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Shimanovsk[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 5,956 (2010 Russian census);[4] 7,275 (2002 Census);[7] 8,588 (1989 Soviet census).[8]
