scyllo-Inositol, also called scyllitol, cocositol, or quercinitol, is a chemical compound with formula C6H12O6, one of the nine inositols, the stereoisomers of cyclohexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexol. scyllo-Inositol is a naturally occurring carbohydrate, specifically a sugar alcohol. It occurs in small amounts in the tissues of humans and other animals,[4] certain bacteria,[5] and more abundantly in some plants.[5][6]
