Pida (Pontus)

Pida (Ancient Greek: Πίδα), or Pidae^[1] or Pidis,^[2] was a town of ancient Pontus, inhabited during Roman and Byzantine times.^[3] It was in the later province of Pontus Galaticus, on the road leading from Amasia to Neocaesareia.^[4][2]

Its site is located near Akça in Asiatic Turkey.^[3][5]
