Phaestus or Phaestos or Phaistos (Ancient Greek: Φαιστός) was a town of ancient Thessaly in the district Pelasgiotis, a little to the right of the Peneius. It was taken by the Roman praetor Marcus Baebius Tamphilus in 191 BCE.[1]
