Persian Gulf University

Persian Gulf University (also known as PGU; دانشگاه خلیج فارس) is a public university located in the capital city of Bushehr, Bushehr province, Iran, originally established as Bushehr University in 1991. PGU is the first and the largest public university founded in the Bushehr province, Iran.[3] Funding for research is partially provided by the Iranian government. Additionally, a number of business organizations have given Persian Gulf University support and funds for research in order to carry out the required initiatives and programs. PGU has collaborative agreements in place for research and teaching with several foreign universities.
