Pawan Singh (popularly known as Powerstar) (born 5 January 1986) is an Indian politician, playback singer, actor, music composer, stage performer who works in the Bhojpuri Film Industry.[4] He is widely regarded as one of the best singers in Bhojpuri cinema.

BJP declared his as a party candidate in the 2024 Indian General Election for Asansol Lok Sabha constituency but Singh rejected to contest election from there. Later on, he decided to contest election from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency as a Independent candidate. He was defeated with a margin of over one lakh votes by Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha in this election.[5]
