Oboyansky District

Oboyansky District (Russian: Обоя́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,090 square kilometers (420 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Oboyan.[1] Population: 27,923 (2021 Census);[6] 31,042 (2010 Russian census);[3] 35,815 (2002 Census);[7] 39,663 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Oboyan accounts for 42.4% of the district's total population.[6]
