Montelparo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Fermo in the Italian region Marche, located about 75 kilometres (47 mi) south of Ancona, about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Ascoli Piceno and 35 kilometres (22 mi) of Fermo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 929 and an area of 21.6 square kilometres (8.3 sq mi).[3]
