Mongasht Rural District (Persian: دهستان منگشت) is in the Central District of Bagh-e Malek County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Abu ol Abbas.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 10,274 in 1,932 households.[5] There were 10,920 inhabitants in 2,446 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,980 in 2,418 households. The most populous of its 22 villages was Abu ol Abbas, with 1,690 people.[2]
