In January 2019, Bayo was loaned from Clermont, where he became professional, to Dunkerque until the end of the season.[2] On 25 June 2019, Dunkerque extended the loan for the duration of the 2019–20 season.[3]

On 13 July 2022, Bayo joined Ligue 1 side Lille on a five-year deal.[5]
Bayo holds French and Guinean nationalities.[6] He debuted with the Guinea national team in a 1–0 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification win over Mali on 24 March 2021.[7]
In October 2021, Bayo was taken into police custody in France after a hit-and-run following a traffic accident.[8]
