Mishkinsky District (Russian: Мишкинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,050 square kilometers (1,180 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Mishkino.[1] Population: 17,684 (2010 Russian census);[3] 22,076 (2002 Census);[7] 26,444 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Mishkino accounts for 45.4% of the district's total population.[3]
