Meshkinabad Rural District

Meshkinabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان مشکینآباد) is in Meshkin Dasht District of Fardis County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Shahrak-e Mohandesi-ye Zerai.[3]

In August 2010, Karaj County, Nazarabad County, and Savojbolagh County were separated from Tehran province in the establishment of Alborz province.[4]
In July 2013, the city of Meshkin Dasht and other parts were separated from Karaj County in the establishment of Fardis County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Fardis as its capital.[3]
At the most recent census of 2016, the population of Meshkinabad Rural District was 16,288 in 5,171 households. The most populous of its two villages was Shahrak-e Mohandesi-ye Zerai, with 16,104 people.[2]
