Lake Inman is a small lake in McPherson County, Kansas, United States. It is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast of the city of Inman. With a surface area of approximately 0.25 square miles (0.65 km2), it is the largest natural lake in the state.[2] It was named for frontiersman and author Henry Inman, who wrote articles about fishing that prompted Kansas legislation.[3] Lake Inman is part of the McPherson Valley Wetlands, a disconnected complex of wetlands important for migrating waterfowl.
