Kastorensky District

Kastorensky District (Russian: Касто́ренский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,225 square kilometers (473 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Kastornoye.[1] Population: 14,333 (2021 Census);[7] 18,195 (2010 Russian census);[3] 24,237 (2002 Census);[8] 29,127 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Kastornoye accounts for 24.1% of the district's total population.[7]
