Gerald F. "Jerry" Newton (born September 15, 1937) is an American politician and decorated non-commissioned officer who has served in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2023. He previously served in the House from 2009 to 2017 and in the Minnesota Senate from 2017 to 2023. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Newton represents District 35B in the northern Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the cities of Coon Rapids and Andover and parts of Anoka County.[1][2]
