His organization has often been seen as controversial, as many people see it as homophobic, transphobic, and/or misogynistic. An example of this is in May 2024, where his 'Love or Lust', 'chastity' talk drew criticism from the parents and students at many of the schools he visited in Sydney. [4]
Evert earned a Master of Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, with undergraduate degrees in theology and counseling, with a minor in philosophy.[3][5]
He is married to Crystallina Evert, who is also a chastity speaker and runs Women Made New Ministries. Crystallina is the author of the books Pure Womanhood, How to Find Your Soulmate Without Losing Your Soul, and the curriculum YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body.[6]
