Jacob Timothy Wallis Simons[1] is a British journalist and novelist who has been editor of The Jewish Chronicle since December 2021.[2]

Born in London, he graduated with a first class degree in English from St Peter's College, Oxford, before completing a PhD in creative writing at the University of East Anglia in 2009.[3]
He has written four novels,[4] including the The English German Girl, which won the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize in 2011.[5]
