The Indiana Auditor of State (doing business as "the Indiana State Comptroller") is a constitutional officer in the executive branch of government of the U.S. state of Indiana. Fifty-seven individuals have occupied the office of auditor of state since statehood. The incumbent is Elise Nieshalla, a Republican.[lower-alpha 1]
