Hopatcong (/hoʊˈpætkɒŋ/ hoh-PAT-kong) is a borough in Sussex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 14,362,[10][11] a decrease of 785 (−5.2%) from the 2010 census count of 15,147,[20][21] which in turn reflected a decline of 741 (−4.7%) from the 15,888 counted in the 2000 census.[22]
