Gorshechensky District

Gorshechensky District (Russian: Горше́ченский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,400 square kilometers (540 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Gorshechnoye.[1] Population: 14,678 (2021 Census);[7] 18,591 (2010 Russian census);[3] 22,835 (2002 Census);[8] 26,372 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Gorshechnoye accounts for 34.8% of the district's total population.[7]
