Go Youn-jung (Korean: 고윤정; born on April 22, 1996) is a South Korean actress and model.[2] She made her acting debut in the television series He Is Psychometric (2019) and gained recognition for her supporting role in the Netflix production Sweet Home (2020). She is also known for her work in the series Law School (2021), Alchemy of Souls (2022–2023), Moving (2023), and Death's Game (2023–2024), as well the film Hunt (2022).[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Go was born on April 22, 1996, in Seoul, South Korea.[10] Go attended Seoul Women's University where she studied contemporary art.[11]
After Go Yoon-jung graduated from Seoul Women's University, she joined MAA Entertainment as a model and actress. She first did modeling for various commercials of Sports, Nike, Giorgio Armani, Ritz Crackers and several commercials for SK Telecom.[12]
In 2021, Go was named the ambassador for the French luxury jewelry house Boucheron.[13] In November 2022, she became the new brand muse for Marithé et François Girbaud.[14][15]
In February 2023, Go was featured in advertisements for Dior.[16] In May 2023, Philippine-based clothing brand Penshoppe named her as their newest muse, joining in their impressive roster of celebrity endorsers and having her campaign images displayed in over 600 stores nationwide and huge billboards in the capital [17] In July 2023, Carrot Insurance selected her as the advertising model for Permile Auto Insurance.[18] In November 2023, she was chosen to be an ambassador for Discovery Expedition, an outdoor clothing brand.[19] Around August she was selected as the global brand ambassador for Ryo Hair.[20]
In January 2024, the chicken franchise restaurant Puradak Chicken selected Go as its advertising model.[21] In April, NH Nonghyup Bank chose Go as their advertising model.[22] In the same month, she shot a commercial for Sangkwaehwan Booster Zero, a hangover relief drink launched in January.[23] In May, Go attended Chanel's 2024/25 Cruise Collection show held in Marseille, France, marking her first Chanel show after being selected as the brand ambassador.[24]
In 2019, after expressing interest and talent in acting, Go Yoon-jung made her acting debut in the television series He Is Psychometric, playing Kim So-hyun.[25]
In 2020, she made a highly praised cameo in the Korean Netflix television series The School Nurse Files, and in the same year, she appeared in the smash hit Netflix television series Sweet Home as Park Yu-ri, a sad caretaker with a tragic past. This role led to additional praise and acknowledgement.[26][27][28]
In 2021, she starred as Jeon Yeseul in Law School and earned acknowledgment for her portrayal of a law student suffering from dating violence.[29] In March 2021, Go was cast in her first film,[30] a South Korean espionage action thriller film titled Hunt. The film was by Lee Jung-jae in his feature directorial debut, starring Lee and Jung Woo-sung.[31] In April, it was reported that Go would also be making a special appearance in tvN period fantasy series Alchemy of Souls,[32] while on October 29, she was confirmed as part of the cast of the adaptation of Kang Full's webtoon Moving.[33]
In 2022, Go officially made her film debut with the release of the action thriller Hunt.[34] Her performance garnered critical acclaim, leading to her being nominated for Best New Actress at the 31st Buil Film Awards, 58th Grand Bell Awards, 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards, and 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.[35][36][37][38]
In June 2022, Go's brief appearance as skilled assassin Nak-su in Part 1 of tvN period fantasy series Alchemy of Souls was broadcast. In December 2022, she returned as the female lead in the Part 2 of the series – Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow. In this installment, she portrayed the character of an amnesiac priestess named Jin Bu-yeon, starring alongside Lee Jae-wook.[39][40][41]
Moving was broadcast on Disney+ from August 9 to September 20, 2023. In the series, Go played the role of Jang Hui-soo, who inherits superpowers from her father Jang Ju-won (Ryu Seung-ryong), who possesses healing abilities and superhuman strength.[8] For her portrayal, Go received the Best New Actress Award in 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards[38] and 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.[42]
In September 2023, Go was confirmed to appear as the main character in Wise Resident Life, a spin-off of Hospital Playlist.[43]
In December 2023, she played Lee Ji-su, a novelist who has been in a relationship with Choi Yi-jae (Seo In-guk), in the series Death's Game.[44]
In April 2024, she was confirmed as the female lead in Can This Love Be Translated?, the series is scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2025.[45][46]
