Firgas is a town and a municipality in the northern part of the island of Gran Canaria, in the Province of Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands. Its population is 7,628 (2013),[3] and its area is 15.77 km².[1] Firgas was founded in 1488, and it is situated in the mountains, 13 km west of Las Palmas.
