The glass artifact was set up thanks to the goodwill of the architects of AS. Architecture-Studio of Paris, as well as the involvement of architect Beata Urbanowicz, the President of Wrocław Rafał Dutkiewicz, many politicians, private individuals, and institutions. The orb was officially handed over in the presence of the head of the European Parliament Mr. J.P. Borell. The sculpture is a gift from the City of Wrocław, funded by the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce of Wroclaw.
The sphere was recognized by the Corning Museum of Glass, New York, USA as one of the top 100 most outstanding works in glass in the world in their New Glass Review 21.
