Falyonsky District (Russian: Фалёнский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,505 square kilometers (967 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Falyonki.[1] Population: 11,138 (2010 Census);[3] 14,713 (2002 Census);[7] 17,756 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Falyonki accounts for 47.2% of the district's total population.[3]
