Draft:List of Formula One Grand Prix wins by Max Verstappen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Max Verstappen is a Dutch-Belgian racing driver who has won three Formula One World Championships. He made his Formula One debut with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2015, breaking the record for the youngest driver to start a race in the 2015 Australian Grand Prix aged 17 years and 166 days, and also breaking the record for the youngest driver to score points in that year's Malaysian Grand Prix aged 17 years and 180 days, finishing seventh. After remaining with Toro Rosso to begin the 2016 season, Verstappen was promoted to parent team Red Bull Racing as a replacement for Daniil Kvyat. In his debut race for Red Bull, he scored his maiden victory by winning the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the youngest-ever driver to win a race at 18 years and 228 days old and the first ever Dutch driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix.[1] The next two seasons saw Verstappen achieve two victories, both in 2017 and 2018. However, Verstappen finished third in the World Drivers' Championship in both 2019 and 2020, including his first win from pole position at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix.[2]

- Comment: Consensus is that sets of wins are not independently notable. This sort of subject does not pass WP:LISTN. Hence this was deleted multiple times before and even salted. Tvx1 10:02, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

In 2021, Verstappen won 10 races and achieved a grand slam for the first time in his career at the Austrian Grand Prix.[3] In one of the closest driver's championship battles in Formula One history, Verstappen won the World Drivers' Championship following a last-lap overtake at the final round of the season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.[4] In the following 2022 season, Verstappen succesfully defended his title by winning a record-breaking 15 races, which marked the most wins in a season by a driver in Formula One history. He broke the previous joint-record of fellow World Champions Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, who both achieved 13 wins in 2004 and 2013 respectively, as he took his fourteenth win of the season by winning that year's Mexican Grand Prix.[5] In 2023, he set the record for the most consecutive wins in Formula One history, winning 10 races in a row; this greatly contributed to him establishing a new all-time record of 19 wins in a single season.
Verstappen has won a total of 59 races in his career so far, currently ranking him third overall in the all-time Formula One Grand Prix winners' list. He has achieved all of his race victories with cars designed by Red Bull. He is the record winner at the Red Bull Ring, having scored five victories at this venue. The Mexican Grand Prix is his most successful event so far, having won five editions of the Grand Prix.
