The Battle of Bankstown was a clash in the suburb of Bankstown in Sydney between members of the New Guard and members of the Unemployed Workers Movement, Communist Party of Australia and Australian Labor Party.[1][2][3][4][5][6] It is often compared to the British Battle of Cable Street.[1]
