Dmitriyev (Russian: Дми́триев), also known as Dmitriyev-Lgovsky (Дми́триев-Льго́вский),[6] is a town and the administrative center of Dmitriyevsky District of Kursk Oblast, Russia, located on the Svapa River (Dnieper's basin), on the Moscow–Kyiv highway, 159 kilometers (99 mi) northwest of Kursk, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: 6,317 (2021 Census);[7] 7,728 (2010 Russian census);[2] 8,838 (2002 Census);[8] 11,187 (1989 Soviet census).[9]
