Cherlak (Russian: Черлак; Kazakh: Черлак, Cherlak) is an urban locality (a work settlement) and the administrative center of Cherlaksky District of Omsk Oblast, Russia, located on the right (eastern) bank of the Irtysh River, 140 kilometers (87 mi) southeast of Omsk. Population: 10,980 (2010 Russian census);[1] 12,269 (2002 Census);[4] 11,840 (1989 Soviet census).[5]
