German heptathlete From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Carolin Schäfer (born 5 December 1991)[2] is a German athlete who specialises in the heptathlon. She won the silver medal in the event at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. Schäfer took bronze at the 2018 European Athletics Championships.

At the age of 15, she won the silver medal at the 2007 World Youth Championships. She was the heptathlon 2008 World junior and 2009 European junior champion. Schäfer represented Germany at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she finished fifth and seventh respectively.
