In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Joaquín and the second or maternal family name is González.
Carlos Manuel Joaquín González (born January 6, 1965) is a Mexican politician, the governor of the state of Quintana Roo. From 2009 to 2012 he served as Deputy of the LXI Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Quintana Roo.[1] In March 2023, he was appointed Ambassador of Mexico to Canada.[2]
