Bigarello (Mantovano: Bigarel) is a former comune (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) east of Milan and about 8 kilometres (5 mi) east of Mantua. As of 31 December 2004[update], it had a population of 1,850 and an area of 27.0 square kilometres (10.4 sq mi).[3]

In January 2019 Bigarello merged with San Giorgio to form the comune of San Giorgio Bigarello.
The municipality contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) of Bazza, Gazzo (municipal seat) and Stradella.
Bigarello borders the following municipalities: Castel d'Ario, Castelbelforte, Roncoferraro, San Giorgio di Mantova, Sorgà.
