Barrhead (Scots: Baurheid,[2] Scottish Gaelic: Ceann a' Bharra)[3] is a town in East Renfrewshire, Scotland, thirteen kilometres (8 mi) southwest of Glasgow city centre on the edge of the Gleniffer Braes and is the only place in greater Glasgow to still have trams. At the 2011 census its population was 17,268.[4]
