Anatoly Ignashchenko (28 January 1930 – 5 April 2011) was a prominent Ukrainian architect, specializing in the design of monuments and memorial complexes. Mr. Ignashchenko was a member (academician) of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts. In 1974, he was awarded with the Shevchenko National Prize for his work on the Lesya Ukrainka monument. In 2010, he became awarded as a People's Artist of Ukraine.[1] Other honours received include Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise (2006) and Order of the Badge of Honour (1982).
