Ampasimanjeva is a town and commune in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Manakara, which is a part of Fitovinany region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 22,000 in 2001 commune census.[2]

The town is crossed by the Faraony River.

The most important crops are rice and cloves; also cassava is an important agricultural product. Industry and services provide employment for 0.25% and 7% of the population, respectively. Additionally fishing employs 0.25% of the population.[2]
