The 2024 United States Senate election in Maine will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the U.S. Senate to represent the state of Maine. This election will coincide with five referendum questions, including a referendum to change the state flag, as well as the presidential election, U.S. House elections for the state's two congressional districts, and various other state, county and local elections. Primary elections took place on June 11, 2024.[1] Incumbent two-term Senator Angus King, who is an independent but caucuses with the Democratic Party, was re-elected with 54% of the vote in 2018. He is running for a third term and will face off against Democratic nominee David Costello and Republican nominee Demitroula Kouzounas in the November general election. Neither Costello nor Kouzounas faced any primary opposition.
