Die National League Division Series 2012 (NLDS) findet zwischen dem 6. und dem 12. Oktober 2012 statt und ist Teil der Postseason der MLB-Saison 2012.[1] Mit ihr wird ermittelt, welche beiden Teams in der National League Championship Series 2012 gegeneinander antreten. Es handelt sich um zwei Best-of-Five-Serien, an denen die Sieger der drei Divisionen der National League sowie der Gewinner des Wildcard-Games teilnehmen. Neu wird die Serie nicht mehr im Modus 2-2-1, sprich das besser gesetzte Team hat in den Spielen 1, 2 und 5 Heimrecht, sondern im Modus 2-3 gespielt. Somit hat das bessere Team Heimrecht in den Spielen 3, 4 und 5.
