Die Stratopause ist die atmosphärische Grenzschicht zwischen Stratosphäre und Mesosphäre. Die Lage der Stratopause wird durch das erste Maximum des atmosphärischen Temperaturprofils gekennzeichnet; sie liegt in etwa 50 km Höhe.[1]
