Roedd Richard Jones (tua 1534 - tua 1577) yn fonheddwr Cymreig a wasanaethodd fel Aelod Seneddol Sir Gaerfyrddin[1]
Ganwyd Jones tua 1532 yn fab hynaf Syr Thomas Jones, Abermarlais a'i ail wraig, Mary, merch James Berkley, Thornbury, Caerloyw. Gwasanaethodd ei dad, ei frawd, Henry Jones, a'i hanner frawd, John Perrot, fel Aelodau Seneddol Sir Gaerfyrddin hefyd.
Ym 1559 priododd Elizabeth, merch ac etifedd Gruffydd Llwyd ap Gruffydd o Gwmgwili, bu iddynt un mab a dwy ferch; wedi ei marwolaeth hi priododd Marged, merch Rhys ap Gwilym ap Tomos Goch, bu iddynt un mab.
Yn wahanol i'w dad, ei frawd a'i hanner frawd ni fu Richard yn ŵr cyhoeddus amlwg; gwasanaethodd fel Aelod Seneddol Sir Gaerfyrddin ym 1555 ac ym 1559[2] ac fel Siedwr Sir Gaerfyrddin o 1559 i 1561.
Mae Richard Jones yn cael ei grybwyll yn llyfr John Foxe, Actes and Monuments fel un a fu'n ymweld â Robert Ferrar, Esgob Tŷ Ddewi yng ngharchar Caerfyrddin cyn ei ddienyddio ar y stanc, sy'n awgrymu ei fod yn Brotestant triw yng nghyfnod Mari Waedlyd, er ddim digon triw i'w dynnu i sylw'r awdurdodau.
